“First, I'd like to start by making it clear that I have never once written a review of a restaurant on seamless, or elsewhere. This, in itself, should say something to you about the gravity of the situation.
We started with the two best appetizers on the menu (its worth noting that these are the only two we've ever tried), the Pacanga and the Sigara Boregi. The temperature of their savory insides and their crispy and freshly fried outsides combined to start this culinary party with fireworks. We highly recommend ordering both of these dishes to start.
It was at about that time that we unwrapped the bag containing two loaves of warm Mediterranean bread and dipped them into the cold and crisp Tarama and Cacik.A perfect intermission before the second act.
She got the Adana Kebab and I got the Grilled Skirt Steak. Both were laid gently over flawlessly cooked rice that had been flavored with their respective juices.I, as all should, ordered my steak medium rare and to my surprise, thats how it was cooked.Fresh herbs and spices were sprinkled over the top of each medallion of beef as if one by one and the vegetables were browned with grill marks that look as thought they might have been painted. As you can imagine, the combination of the steak, rice, and vegetables have refined what a "steak dinner" should be.
The chicken kebab was juicy and flavorful- so much so that I accepted a trade with the lady for a bite or two or my previously stated perfect steak. The seasoning was strong but in the best way possible. It brought back memories of Turkish vacations of past - I can almost feel that hot sun beating down on my face despite the Christmas being 2 days away.Order this for a true taste of a beautiful culture.
In all, our experience with Limon Restaurant defied the expectations of a culinary experience that began with "What do you want for dinner?", "No way, we're not doing this again tonight, what do YOU want?".”
