  • “Just had the worse delivery experience with this restaurant. Ordered dinner at 8PM. The online system said it would take 35-50 minutes to deliver. At 9:02 still no meal delivery. I called them at 9:03 and was told that they were backed up and it would take another 30 minutes or so to deliver our meals. Are you kidding me?! Taking more than 30 minutes to deliver in this city? Now that I think about it, their service is quite slow when you dine in at their restaurant also. The only reason they have survived up until now is because it is the upper upper west side and we don't have a lot of restaurants to choose from. If they were anywhere else in this city, I suspect they would have been out of business by now.”

Once they had screwed up their listings and sent my order to the wrong restaurant. Last week one order didn't show up at all. It is now 9:32 and it has not been delivered. No message from the restaurant explaining the delay, and when we called (frequently, starting at 8:30) the phone was never answered. We will NOT be ordering from them again. ”

I ordered the ravioli con fonduta al formaggio and the second it arrived I thought the whole order smelled like gasoline. They didn't make any attempt to keep the sauce in the container so it was also wet in the bag smelling horrible. Then it was cold and I said I would still try it... after heating it up and taking a bite I was nauseated. This dish is disgusting, under cooked and I would even allege thrown together sloppily from pre-frozen ingredients if the entire raviolis aren't pre-frozen together. I REPEAT. DO NOT DO THIS. I got a refund and I NEVER do that.”

"That's really the customer's responsibility," said the manager, Shiane, in the rudest tone imaginable. Then she hung up on me. I called back and she proceeded to hang up on me again. I hope they are reading this and put that dish back on the menu! PLEASE! 11/18/12 UPDATE: They added back the pasta I loved and I was so excited to order it. All I can say is GROSS, GROSS. Even I could have made a dish better than that and that's an insult. I'm so disappointed. I actually think that was the worst dish of pasta I've ever purchased. VERY little sausage, very soggy broccoli rabe, a sauce that tasted like a simple water and cornstarch mix and NO flavor whatsoever. What a huge disappointment. ”

Sadly it took over the estimated time for my food to arrive, when it arrived it was luke warm and when I called to inquire about the status of my food, I was told that all seamless orders left "a while ago." No one offered to make it right, basically said they were sorry and it was on its way. Delivery guy showed up with my order, plus two others dangling around his arm - no bag to keep the food warm. I feel bad for whoever got their delivery after mine. I am going to chalk it up to a rough night and hope that I'll go there again in the future. The tonnarelli is really good.”

I expect a decent restaurant to take a while for delivery, but in Manhattan it's hard to stay in business no matter how good your food is if you take over an hour for delivery. And the food is good, but not THAT good. When I called, he said it "should be there any second." We're at an hour and 15 minutes now. Update: After two hours, still no food. When we called, they said "It's in the kitchen now-- be there soon." We asked them for a refund. This is ridiculous. They should be out of business.”
