  • “My go-to place for Indian delivery in Harlem: I order from here at least once a week. Love the Navratan Korma and Chicken Tikka Masala. Delivery usually arrives within 30-45 minutes of order, though there have been occasions when it took much longer. (It happens.) Regardless, I'd highly recommend Maharaja Palace.”

  • “The food was good, but not so much better than its competitors that it justifies a markup of $5-6. To top it off the portion is pretty small. Maharajas breads are very tasty, but expensive.”

  • “I was just reprimanded by the delivery guy for ordering and living on 147th, and was told that this was the last time you'd be delivering above 145th. a) If you aren't delivering above 145th, that's great for you and totally understandable. I work with a restaurant that uses Grubhub too. If you aren't delivering in any given area, then it shouldn't show up on the areas' seamless choices. #notmyfault. b) The attitude of your delivery man was a little excessive. Whether or not he wanted to come to 147th (2 blocks away from 145th...I can WALK that in less than a minute) which was within the given Grubhub zone, it is his JOB. He is being PAID to do what he did. If there is a problem with the delivery parameters, that can be changed when he gets back to the store. He can be given a work bonus for walking 2 extra blocks. That is a work related issue-not a customer related issue (given that you appeared on my grubhub)”

  • “It took them two years (in hungry person time) to arrive with my order: vegetable samosas and lamb biryani. At one point, I'd forgotten that I'd ordered food, it took so long. Perhaps they had to harvest the vegetables for the samosas. No, no they didn't. The samosas were underwhelming. The lamb, while tender, didn't make up for the mealiness of the rice. Here's the thing: I was so damned hungry that I would have eaten a shoe. They must have known that because the after taste? Kinda like a wet shoe. BUT, I ate. Oh, I ate it all right. Eh. The mango lassi- warm. Warm, people. I want to give them a second chance, but they hurt me. They hurt me bad. First impressions are important. At least Grub Hub hooked me up with some free grub for the inconvenience and the delivery guy looked sufficiently repentant while accepting my tip. (yes, I still tipped. I'm not an animal)”
