  • “Awash is one of my favorite restaurants. We've be dining there and ordering in from them for years. Using GrubHub has made the ordering process easier. The restaurant is almost always packed and sometimes on the phone it's hard to place your order. If you like spice, try the meat sambusa appetizer. And the bozeno shiro is fantastic!”

  • “One of my favorite places in the city. So happy they deliver 35 blocks away!”

  • “I usually love this place and order from here regularly. But I'm worried that they changed recipes or chefs recently. My most recent delivery did not taste right - every.single.thing was a shadow of it's former self. I went on here with the hopes of seeing a positive recent review that would reassure me that I can order without fear!”

  • “The vegetarian combo platter is a staple for me. It comes w a sampling of every vegetarian dish they have, and it is all mouthwatering. I can usually get 2-3 meals out of the takeout portion. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is the $30 minimum for delivery. That seems quite high and I always have to add something I really don't want to my order. Otherwise it's great. ”

  • “LOVE their veggie combo! Azifa and Yater Kik Fitfit are also delish. The portions are HUGE... so the $30 minimum usually is acceptable considering we can usually get 3+ meals out of an entree and app. ”

  • “Excellent Ethiopian. Wish they didn't have a $30 minimum for delivery, but that's my only complaint. So glad to have them on the UWS.”

  • “I always get the Veggie combo which is pretty good and large enough to make into three meals for me. Because there is a steep $30 delivery minimum I also get the sambusa. The lentil sambusa is really delicious, although I don't care much for the dipping sauce that accompanies it. ”

  • “Agree with the sentiment that the delivery can sometimes take longer than the given window, but the food is absolutely delicious. My favorite, real food on the UWS.”

  • “Really frustrating that they decided to raise the delivery minimum from $15 to $30. The $17 entree is more than enough for one even two people, and I don't see why I have to order an appetizer or alternatively give the delivery guy a whopping $10 tip. I used to order from here sometimes several times a week. Will think twice before doing that. Sorry - $30 is just not fair. Literally the highest delivery minimum of the restaurants in my area. Truly disappointed.”

  • “The food is very good. I would agree with other reviewers that the 30-45 min wait time is completely inaccurate. I've usually had to wait over an hour for food delivery. The food is worth it though. ”
