  • “Really quite good food, genuine, nice portions with delicious bread on the side. Only downside is it's somewhat pricey. The meat/mixed grill is one of our favorites.”

  • “Excellent food and good delivery. Recommend the kofti kebabs with rice pilaf and the sandwiches. The bread that accompanies the side dishes is really good as well. I have to dock a star because the full menu is not available on seamlessweb for no good reason. For example, only the chicken adana is available on seamless, even though both the chicken and lamb adana (platter and sandwich) are both available on their takeout menu.”

  • “After reading the reviews, I was expecting small portions and slow delivery. Instead the food was here so fast, I couldn't believe it. The portions were also a good size. My issue is that the chicken shih kebab sandwich didn't have enough flavor and was falling apart to the point that I had to put it on a plate and eat it with a knife and fork. As for the Ezme, I've never had it before (that I know of) but from the description, I was expecting a yummy tomato dish with bell peppers. olive oil and lemon. Instead it's so spicy (as in hot peppers) that I can't even eat it. Maybe my boyfriend will be able to better tolerate it. I liked the cacik, though it could use a little more garlic, salt and dill. I love the Turkish pita bread. ”

  • “Far and away the worst turkish food I have ever ordered. I ordered the 28. Kofte Entre which tasted like typical italian meatballs without a hint of middle eastern flavors. Even the rice was not particularly good. I also ordered the hummus. Aside from the fact that this hummus was tasteless, to add insult to injury they provided too little bread. The bread was so small that we were only able to consume about half of the hummus (which coincidentally was as much as we could stand to eat).”

  • “Excellent. Fresh and delicious. The sandwiches are made on fresh, flaky, authentic Turkish bread, and the salad was as fresh as can be. Can't believe I just discovered this place now after living down the street for almost a year!”

  • “I feel like many kebab places are just run of the mill and aren't much better than street meat. This one is so different! Really nice quality lamb, chicken breast, and even the ground meat is quite delicious. On top of that, everything was perfectly cooked! It was quite juicy and flavorful. It came with some grilled veggies and a tomato (stewed or grilled), and all together the dish was very good. Edit: they really need to do something about the bread situation. They provide you with one piece, which isn't enough to eat any of the dips with. When I called, they said the bread was for people eating in the restaurant. I've gotten unlimited bread when actually eating there, so you'd think they could give you at least a few pieces if you're ordering hummus or the haydari. ”

  • “The food is amazing! The portions are quite small for the price but everything on the menu tastes like heaven. I loved the shish kabob sandwich with lamb. The cacik was a bit too garlicy but still great.”

  • “SMALL PORTIONS -- much smaller than they used to be. I ordered the sis kebab entree and it was so stingy that I had to check to see if they had added a half-order option that I selected by mistake. I also ordered the mixed appetizer plate and I literally didn't get enough hummus to shmear a bagel -- seriously! I actually called the restaurant about this and they said that I should just not order it again. I won't order anything from Hanci again. The other Turkish options in the area are just as good if not better and you get much more for your money. Why pay more for less?”

  • “best turkish food around! everything is great! never failed to deliver a 5 star dish! great sit-in place too. the only dish i've had that is less than 5 stars (i've had almost all their dishes) is the falafel... their version is pretty large and as a result the very inside is a bit undercooked. but still the VERY BEST turkishfood in nyc!”

  • “Hands down the BEST falafel i have ever ordered and the closest to the ones my bff, who is from Palestine, makes. the adena was good but not the best: the food was a little too buttery for my taste but i will definitely order the appetizers again and from the just the taste of hummus served with the falafel, i cant wait to try it. ”

  • “Sis Kebab Entr?e was fantastic! Tender cubes, perfectly cooked & delivered within the promised timeframe. While $15 may seem a bit on the high side for a kebab, the portion is generous and quality is high. Recommended”
