  • “Restaurant did not confirm order or approximate time of delivery. Sent white, not brown rice. Food was pretty much as expected. Question for seamless: How does one complain or get satisfaction for miss-sent items.”

  • “Their soup dumplings are delicious, but expect at least one to break open during delivery. The General Tso Chicken is unlike many I've had, but very tasty and with a variety of vegetables. It's my go-to Chinese lunch special.”

  • “swimming in grease (more oil than sauce) and inedible. i called the restaurant and the manager offered to send a fresh one. it never showed up. after waiting over an hour for a replacement, i told them to forget it. the next time i think of ordering from there, i'll just throw my money in the garbage and save a few steps.”

  • “Good basic Chinese food. I have only ordered these dishes from Grand Sichuan...Lo mien, fried rice, General Tso, Dan Dan noodles, scallion pancakes, etc. They do these dishes well and the delivery time is always fast. Definitely not as good as Han Dynasty but they don't use Seamless!”

  • “Best chinese in the area. The double cooked pork is especially good, as are the vegetable dishes. A little on the pricey side for chinese food, but worth it!”

  • “Don't know why this place gets so much hate and bad reviews. Lightening fast delivery (10-15 minutes sometimes) and probably my favorite Chinese food in the east village. Amazing fried rice and sesame chicken. ”

  • “Fried rice was good. General Tso's chicken was too heavily breaded - barely any chicken, and I paid extra for white meat. Usually better. Quick delivery.”

  • “Food's always good but BEWARE on time. Estimate said 30-45 minutes. We've been waiting for 1 hour, 25 minutes. Have called twice and people there wouldn't tell us anything other than we'd have to wait. Just called again to cancel and they hung up after telling us we needed to wait.”

  • “Pork soup dumplings are on point. Make sure to eat em while they're hot and don't save for later, otherwise the soup will get soaked up and you'll have wasted the goodness. Vegetable fried rice super fresh every time. Keep it simple.”

  • “Only place I've found for order-in smoked tea duck - it's heavy but pretty fantastic for a quick Chinese fix. It may or may not be at all authentic but I've found it's a lot less Americanized than most places that will deliver.”

  • “What happened? What was an outstanding authentic Chinese restaurant has turned into "oil city", everything drenched in oil, and the meat fatty....what used to be done with care and attention has gone down. At least I have HOT KITCHEN to reply on.”

  • “Food is always good if you order the right stuff (order the sichuan stuff mostly) and delivery is always quick. They always give large quantities of food and no complaints here except the soy sauce spilling in the soup dumplings during delivery. No this is not gourmet, but the food is perfectly good for a quick sichuan delivery in the area.”

  • “Besides taking over 90min to deliver my food (it was a rainy night so I am sure they were super busy), it arrived hot and w the correct order. The soup dumplings were impressive for delivery and the beef & broccoli was surprisingly not-greasy and a very large portion (more than enough to feed 2 people). I will order again.”

  • “I love this place because it is one of the only places downtown for real Sichuan food. Do not order from here if you don't understand what real Sichuan chinese food is. It is very spicy, sour, oily, and salty. Most of the dishes are all those combined. The Sichuan food you get at your local takeout place is a bastardized version and tastes nothing like the real thing. I hope they don't change or else I'll have to trek to Midtown to get the real deal. I only gave this place 4 stars bc it isn't always consistent with some of their more signature dishes like Hot Oil Beef. Sometimes, they dredge the beef slices in too much flour and then wok it up. The real way to make the dish doesn't use flour. ”
