Order placed on 11.5.09.I ordered from here for the first time tonight, and while I wouldn't say it's stellar, I'd say I'm intrigued and would definitely give it another go. I used to live in India and am really picky about good Indian food. The entrees were okay, but not incredibly authentic. I'd like to try a few others first before I decide they definitely aren't great. But the chapattis are the first really good and authentic chapattis I've found since coming back to the U.S. These are exactly like the ones I used to eat back in India, and not like the crappy, frozen "naan" you find in most Indian places around here. Also, the ras malai was great and brought be right back to sweets shops in India. The delivery guy was very nice, and my order arrived only 20 minutes after they said it would, which is pretty impressive considering I gave him horrible directions and my address is notoriously difficult to find. If not for my bad directions, he would gotten here before the estimated delivery time.

The food arrived cold, the meat in the ground beef kebab platter was chewy, and the rice was bland. the moussaka was a terrible mixture of undercooked fries covered in cold pasta sauce. The mediterranean platter consisted of disgustingly sweet and chewy dolmas, average hummus and falafel and a stack of cold chewy pita bread triangles. I can't believe I paid almost $60 for this mediocre meal!

Order placed on 10.13.09.I was very nervous ordering from Casa Hookah a few days ago from the inconsistent and negative reviews. The 1 hour wait on my first order did not help their case very much either. I was SO ready to crucify them in this review when I got my order. Now, I've ordered four times and I have yet to change my order. Burger w/ cheese cooked medium rare, philly cheesesteak, and a chicken shawerma. I've waited four orders to post this review to check for consistency and the food has been consistently, hot, flame grilled and GOOD. Delivery times vary from 25 minutes to 1 hour...but the food has never been cold. I have never tried their Mediterranean dinner plates and I'm not sure I will. All I know is that so far, their sandwiches are amazing and the shawerma is tasty hot or cold, sober or not.
