Order placed on 12.4.08.Not recommended. Delivery charge is ridiculously high. Restaurant managed to take a simple request and get entire order wrong. Delivery person couldn't figure out how to use intercom/doorbell. Food was excessively salty, sodas not cold. A big thumbs down.

Order placed on 8.27.09.Our first time ordering here and we thought it was great - I am Chinese and I would say it's the best Chinese take-out place that delivers to our apartment. I love that the food is prepared without any MSG and it was not greasy. We ordered the Kung Pao chicken and Hot and Sour soup. The chicken was mostly chicken breast (not that mysterious stuff that you sometimes get) and the veggies were fresh and crisp. It also included slices of jalapenos, which I thought was the perfect touch. We had no problems with the delivery guy and the food came before our estimated time (but we did order late at night, ~9:30pm). We will definitely order from here again!!!

Order placed on 5.9.09.I ordered the Hot and Sour soup per the other review. I was not impressed. The soup was bland, and the included pork in the soup had loads of fat with little actual meat. I also ordered the deep fried flounder and salt and pepper pork. The flounder was solid and the the pork was merely average. I did not have a horrible experience but because Chinese fast food delivery is so plentiful near my area, I am not particularly inclined to order from yet another average restaurant.

Order placed on 11.13.08.Tastewise, Tsing Tao is typical Chinese fast food delivery. The General Tsao's chicken was bland; it lacked life and flavor (I should have listened to the review below) . The chicken fried rice had a bit too much oil in it--I felt it could have used a bit more time on the wok. Furthermore, due to my severe dehydration the following day, I am fairly certain they used a good amount of MSG. However, my food was delivered in 19 minutes, a record I doubt can ever be topped by another restaurant. Customer service was great as pointed out--they ran out of root beer and politely asked me to choose an alternative. The food arrived piping hot and in generous portions for the price. Nothing wrong with that.

Order placed on 9.12.08.On 9/12 I ordered food for 3 people which consisted of 6 dishes with rice (approx $50 worth of food). Note, I have ordered from this restaurant 4 other times with no problems - in fact, the food is generally pretty good. However, on that night, the driver would not come up to my door - she insisted that I must go DOWN to the front of my building to pick up my food (which is lazy and stupid IMHO). So I did - when I got there, she then told me it took me TOO LONG to go down there and normally she would just be allowed to leave. How rude! No, she did not receive a tip. On top of this, 1/2 of our order was completely wrong. And the food that was right? It was disgusting. I will never order from here again.

Order placed on 8.11.09.I ordered Tom Ka Soup, Red Pumpkin Curry, Beef Sirloin Salad and Fresh Spring Rolls. Everything was good. Particularly the Tom Ka Soup. The Red Pumpkin Curry had a lot of pumpkin compared to some other pumpkin curries I have had (a good thing!). I added Rooster Sauce to the curry as it wasn't as spicy as I like it, but the flavor was good. The order of spring rolls was huge - nine pieces! Fast delivery, I will order again.

Order placed on 6.1.09.The food is always delivered early and they are always curteous. The first time I ordered, I paid with credit card, but decided to tip with cash. I promptly received a call from Chai Yo inquiring about the amount of tip I would provide to the delivery driver. I am not certain why I needed to tell them the amount and I may have gotten a little indignant. I did say that it was based on the service, but indicated what amount I would tip. When the food arrived, I noticed the receipt they had noted the tip amount. Other than the strange tip call, the service is pretty good. The food is always hot when it arrives. I usually order the same thing, so I haven't tried the full menu. Where else can you get Mitchell's Ice Cream delivered to your home?
