How To Fix Your Life in 2007

by Nick Timiraos

The Problem: Calling for restaurant delivery.
The Fix: Order off the Internet.

Groceries and movie rentals have been available for years, and nowso is a hot meal. At sites like SeamlessWeb.com or GrubHub.com, diners view menus, place ther orders and pay the bill online (and can even include the tip). The restaurant sends a confirmation email back with an estimated delivery time.

Individual restaurants and sites like menupages.com post menus on the Web but these sites go one step further by allowing diners to place orders and pay online.

SeamlessWeb, bought in June by Aramark Corp., has delivered meals to professional-services firms in New York City for years, and now does residential delivery in New York City, Newark, N.J., Philadelphia, Boston and Washington D.C. GrubHub.com serves Chicago, Milwaukee and San Francisco, as well as New York. Other Web sites, like CampusFood.com focus on colleges and their communities.
