The spanikopita is the best Ive had in manhattan! And everything else I've eaten here (at least a dozen times) was great. Last time I ordered, they forgot to deliver an entire sandwich though. Mistakes happen I guess. For what it is, I'd give it a 5, but theyll get a 4 because of the missing sandwich.

This is what I ordered: Raita, Spinach samosa, chicken galoti kebab, cheese nan, gulabjaman.
They didn't have the spinach samosa. But they had the vegetable samosa so I said I would take that instead.
They didn't have cheese nan. But they had onion nan. So I said I would have that instead. They gave me a free water without my asking.
The kebab was not hot in terms of temperature. It arrived lukewarm at best. It was spicy, though. Too spicy, really.
Whenever I order an entree from an Indian restaurant in automatically comes with rice. I was very surprised that no rice came with the kabab.
While it wasn't a total disaster, on the whole I think would try another Indian place. Chennai was better, as I recall.
I had ordered once from Dakshin before and it was better. So maybe they had an off night that night. Still, if the place is not reliable ...

I devoured the veal parm. with ziti. Delicious. I got the Italian dressing for the salad. Problem was, they forgot to put in the salad.
The bread was warm, but they didn't give me garlic rolls, like some places give you. No little tub of grated parmesan cheese, either, but luckily I had my own at home.
Yeah, they forgot the salad. No wonder they call the place Fat Sal's. They left out the only healthy thing I ordered.

The food is great and delivery is pretty quick. However, after ordering online and paying with credit card the delivery guy asked me for cash when he arrived. The receipt showed paid and I told him that I paid already. After several calls from the diner and speaking with several people that didn't speak or understand english very well and just kept requesting my credit card number- I call Grub Hub and they confirmed that I HAD PAID AND THAT THEY DID NOT NEED ANYTHING ELSE FROM ME! Thanks Grub Hub for your help- Diner good food but this experience has sent me to SHINING STAR! Next time read the ticket- paid means paid.

I was very disappointed with this restaurant! The delivery man was asking for a tip before I even got my food. When I looked at my order, I did not get what I asked for and my food was so spicy, that I could not eat it (after I specified that I didn't want it spicy at all). To top it off, when I called the restaurant to let them know that the food delivered was not what I asked for, the lady told me that the delivery person went home, and that she would make the food perfect for me THE NEXT TIME I ordered. That will NEVER happen!

Pizza was very good, plenty of ingredients and the large was more like an extra large. A little too much anchovy (salty) flavor on the Caesar salad. Pricey, but overall good food.
