Good, solid, great value for the price. One of the few places in Brooklyn one can find delicious baked pork buns from a Chinese restaurant! The Wonton Soup was a little wanting, but the rest of my order across several dishes was quite good, attentively packed and smartly delivered.

This is mediocre Chinese food at best, and is fairly expensive as well. If you can go to Chinatown, you can get much better for much cheaper. That said, it seems to be one of the only Chinese restaurants delivering to my area of Battery Park.

The food was not good! It was way too greasy we could not eat it. The white rice looked like it had been recycled. Very disappointed... I have to admit the delivery was very quick... maybe they should take a bit more time with the food. I can wait a few extra minutes if the quality is better.

My boyfriend and I decided to stay in on a Saturday night, watch movies and order Chinese. I hadn't ever ordered Chinese food since we've been living in Soho, but we decided to take the chance on Empire. We LOVED it. All the food was super fresh and clean. I never used to crave Chinese, but I think Empire is going to become a regular place of ours.

Well, the guy and the phone was very friendly. The egg roll was delicious.
I decided to be bold and ordered shrimp with cashews novelle. Wrong. The cashes were candied (good), but the dish was smothered in something - I guess it was mayo, or similar white substance. Bizarre.
The mixed fruit had lychees and some exotic red melon which looked nice, but wasn't too sweet.
I think I will try again, but order some more standard items in order to make a more accurate comparison with other Chinese restaurants.

Best inexpensive Asian food in the UWS. It's a family operation that really has heart and soul. All time favorites are "Japan Teriyaki Chicken" and "Buffalo Scallion Chicken". I'll even order extra to take for lunch the next day...the entire office go nuts from the aroma. Their healthy menu is great too!
