This fish is so nice that they named it twice. Well, okay, it's certainly not the best sushi restaurant in town, but...

I've lived in Japan, I know my sushi. This sushi is fairly tasty (its fresh, etc) but the pieces are so ridiculously small that two of theirs equals one of someone else's. In regards to sushi delivery in Evanston area they're the best in terms of freshness and taste, but ridiculously expensive in terms of prices and portion size. In terms of walk in (the guys I'm about to suggest do NOT deliver I'm afraid) the best sushi in Evanston is Sea Ranch on Dempster, which isn't even really a restaurant -- its a Japanese fish market with a little stall on the side that sells sushi.

Kinda awkward staff, but very quick. The Big Chicago roll is a waste of time and money. It's impossible to eat and all of the ingredients aren't listed so be aware there are a bunch of bits of different pickled veggies. Eel is a little gritty, chewy, and not quite the best quality, but not the worst I've encountered either. Tons of pickled ginger & wasabi usually. Cucumber salad overpriced. Good miso.

Tends to be just OK. But fast if you are picking up. Could not ell you about delivery since.... An uncertain phone person told me she THOUGHT they did not deliver past Howard. I asked her to find out for sure. She quietly waited 10-15 seconds and then told me they did not. She did NOT ask anyone, meaning she lied to me, for reasons I will never know. We are 1.5 blocks S of Howard (the Chicago/Evanston boundary line). I can SEE Evanston from my house. We are closer to them than the next suburb N. So, that's that for them. Their food was just OK anyway. Expensive too.
