Pekin House
Chinese, Asian, Noodles, Lunch Specials
Order placed on 6.20.08.
I was disappointed in the food I got from this place. The food tasted okay, but how it looked and smelled was not. The delivery time was good, but I'm not ordering from here again.

Service was fast, but that's all the credit I will give it. I ordered an orange chicken, which was nothing more than hi-falutin chicken McNuggets, with a bland orange sauce in a separate container. The won-ton soup was also watery. Overall, you can do much better.

China Hut

Order placed on 12.30.07.
This place was great.
Not only was the food early and hot and correct, but the delivery person was nice and had a free calendar.
We asked for some modifications to what we ordered, and they didn't call freaking out or saying no, like most places here. Best Grub Hub experience so far, and the food was really tasty.

Panda Panda Chinese Restaurant
Chinese, Asian, Szechwan, Cantonese
The food is sketchy, greasy, and without flavor. The honey chicken is basically sweet and sour without the pineapple. The spicy sesame was made from some part of the chicken, but it definetely wasn't the breast! I enjoy the dark chicken meat, but had to throw this out.
But the delivery was fast...so I guess they got that going for 'em...

China Kitchen

What isn't bland, is terrible.
The Fried Rice? Bland.
The Egg Rolls? Blegh.
The Pot Stickers? Bland.
The Crab Rangoon? What Crab? It's all cream cheese.
The Egg Drop soup is okay, I suppose. If you like something that barely resembles what it's supposed to taste like.
Their 'New Style Mongolian Beef' tasted terrible. It was like they covered the beef in cinnamon and nutmeg. Same thing with their egg rolls. Just cinnamon and cabbage.

Eng's Asian Cuisine
Chinese, Asian, Cantonese
If you've ever been to a mall in taiwan and had really really cheap chinese there -- made with cheap grissly cuts of meat -- this is rather like that. Joy yee noodles in Evanston is almost exactly the same type of food. Think: its to chinese food what macD's is to a really good burger. Is it authentic, yes... but...

Great Chinese food at very reasonable prices. The appetizer sampler is fantastic, as is the Mongolian Beef and Orange Chicken which I eat once a week.

Hong Kong Restaurant
Chinese, Asian, Healthy, Mandarin, Cantonese
I never feel so inclined to write reviews, but I had to warn everyone about this place. BY FAR THE WORST CHINESE FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD ANYWHERE -EVER! Everything tasted like it had been fried in extremely old oil. The Crab Ragoon tasted like it had been fried too hard, frozen, then microwaved. The fried rice had a bland plastic taste to it. The sweet & sour chicken was hard as a rock, greasy, and over fried as well. The portions were crazy small and it took them an hour and a half to show up. I will never order from here again! The food was just not edible. Please no one make the mistake of throwing away their money. Me and my family are still hungry tonight. And I just wish I could get my 38 dollars back!!!

Hunan Spring
Chinese, Asian, Lunch Specials
First time I placed an order there, and the order taker was friendly and competent.
The steamed dumplings were good, but the Happy Family was great. Large amount of shrimp and meat, vegetables were plentiful and tender, and it was a huge saucy portion.
Total time from order to delivery? Twenty eight minutes. On a weekend night. Brought to my door by a friendly delivery person.
I was very, very pleased with the food and service.

Miss Egg Roll
Chinese, Asian, Vietnamese
EXCELLENT! Had three people and we shared three lunch specials: sweet & sour chicken, kung pao chicken and the number 15 which is like a Chinese Omelet on a bed of rice. All were very tasty and you get a lot for your money. The sweet and sour chicken was notable for the amount of pineapple, onions, green and red peppers thye provide - a nice change from the average restaurant which gives you three pineapple pieces and nothing else with your meal. The Kung Pao chicken was hot, but not too hot and was absolutely delicious.
The egg rolls are more like spring rolls, but large and very tasty.
All in all, this is an above average Chinese restaurant that will not disappoint.
Delivery was quick and professional, in under 30 minutes.
Definitely on my list of faves!

Pros: Huge portions! Yay!
However, the food is REALLY greasy. I know, I know...that's the good thing about Chinese but not really, I feel sick and sluggish everytime I eat here.

China Town Express

Fast delivery, decent food. Enough MSG to down an elephant. BUT! They have Peking duck that does NOT require 24hr notice, and they pre-wrap all the little pancakes for you.
