delivery was late, and food was not that great. i had orange chicken, chicken vegetables, and fried rice. the fried rice was good. first impression was not good so i'm not sure if i'll be ordering from them again in the future. they were very polite though when i called for status on my order.

We ordered based on the reviews and how wonderful they were. Not only did the food take almost 1 and half hours, but the staff was extremely rude. I called the restaurant to check on the status of my food after 1 hour of waiting. The person on the phone told me the driver was probably somewhere in my area and would be there at some point in the near future - maybe 10-15 more minutes. He told me he was going to call the driver and call me right back. I didn't hear from him and after 10 minutes decided to call. He admitted he never called the driver, but that he should be here somewhat soon. The driver came a few minutes later. We told them we no longer wanted the food. The restaurant called me to ask why I wasn't accepting the food and I told them that I almost could have dealt w the late food, but I refuse to deal with rude people, take cold food, and then give them my money.

Food from Hong Huah is always hot and fresh on delivery. This is our favorite delivery Chinese.

We decided to give this place a shot after reading the glowing "Time Out Chicago" review, and were exceedingly disappointed. We ordered the hot and sour soup (which tasted burnt, contained the most disgusting tofu and veggies imaginable), egg rolls (soggy and wet beyond belief), mongolian beef (which, for some mysterious reason, included an inch or so of burnt rice) and pork fried rice (which tasted like something out of a bad Food Network reality show). The only upside was the delivery guy, who was BEYOND courteous. Yes, this place is inexpensive, but only serves a reminder that more often than not, you truly get what you pay for. We will most definitely NOT be ordering from here again. We have no idea which restaurant "Time Out" was referring to, but considering our personal experience, we're now convinced that that magazine wouldn't know a good meal if it came up and bit them on the rear end. This place is absolutely horrid!
