Their breakfast items are terrific...especially the veggie panhandler with cheese and scrambled tofu is great! They have great choices for vegans/vegetarians. The delivery is usually fast enough for me. The people that work there are kind of snobby and it smells really moldy in the restaurant with almost terrible service but they have good chilli, cornbread, burritos, sweet potato fries, and a great selection of beers, and amazing fruit juices.

I am not 20 or 30-something, as another reviewer said the Heartland is for...but since LakeSide Cafe is out of business, I am eating more at the Heartland when I can't eat at home or have noone to help me cook, as it is one of the few locals that still have some organic vegan food. It is also a place for 50- and 60 and maybe a few 70-somethings, too. They are still on the money with their beans and brown rice.

I've eaten here twice and I love how laidback and friendly it is. I ordered delivery for the first time recently and the food was not only delicious (get the tamari maple chicken!) but it arrived in under an hour. I recommend this place to anyone who likes laidback, healthy home cooking.

Not very impressed... food was vegetarian yes but not very tasty. delivery was fast and prompt but its all about the food!
