Golden River has changed their menu and now say they offer a Pan-Asian menu. I ordered the Korean Beef Chap-Chae and Mango Chicken Fried Rice. Both dishes had very little flavor and the Chap Chae didn't taste anything like a true Korean version. The smoothies were disappointing as well. My mango-pineapple smoothie had very little pineapple flavor in it. I will probably not order from this restaurant again even though it is only a few blocks from my house.

I had an awful experience when ordering from here. Although the restaurant DID receive my order, it was never delivered to me. I was never informed by the restaurant regarding any "problems" with delivery until GrubHub had to call them 2 1/2 hours later. Igot an atitude from an employee there when I finally called them directly for an explanation. I am not one who usually complains, but because of the way I was treated, I will never order from this restaurant again. Good luck!

The food from Golden River was fine. There was no problem with it. I do have to say the egg rolls from Golden River are by far the best I've tasted. I also liked how after I ordered online, someone called by phone to confirm my order and the time it would take to deliver it.

This was the 2nd restaurant that I've ordered from since I moved to Chicago. I ordered Sesame Chicken, Egg Drop Soup, and Beef Teriyaki. I liked it so much that I don't want to keep looking anymore for another Chinese restaurant. The flavors were simple, but in a good way. The food was hot, flavorful, and nothing was overpowering, greasy, or too heavy. I can't wait to try more of the food on their menu!

ugh...if you want some real greasy Chinese food, this is the place for you. the sesame chicken was pretty tasteless, the chicken was all white meat (good) but it only tasted like grease with a little flavor. the garlic eggplant was swimming in oil. i don't know about garlic, but they certainly had the oil covered. we couldn't even keep leftovers, we threw them away. the only thing that rated it one star was the egg roll was OK.
