  • Siam Pasta

    Noodles, Asian, Thai
    Order placed on 11.18.09.
Delivery was very speedy. Portions were generous. Food was very good - especially enjoyed the Panang Curry - which had a nice medium spice.

  • Sabai Thai Cuisine

    Noodles, Asian, Thai
VERY TASTY Family owned Thai place with generous portions. If you ask they'll make it authentic Thai taste, that's with the spices NOT dulled down to American pallet. Unfortunately being family owned their delivery guy doesn't always show up, so call and ask if they're delivering today before you get your heart set on it. But seriously, if the guy has the sniffles he won't come in and they don't have a 2nd guy

  • Cozy Noodle & Rice

    Noodles, Asian, Thai
This is, by far, the best Thai food in Evanston. The pad thai is fantastic, as is the red curry and the curry fried rice. I order from them on a weekly basis, and don't see myself stopping anytime soon. Delivery is always very fast, the food arrives hot, and the customer service is great.

  • Noodle Garden

    Noodles, Asian, Thai, Lunch Specials
Expensive but worth it. Lightning fast delivery of the finest Thai food for many miles around. Summer roll with hoisin dipping sauce is like a freshly rolled salad wrap with thin rice noodles, sprouts, fresh mint and apple slices. Somtum salad of shredded green papaya with lime and chili dressing is very authentic. Panang curry is to die for, with aromatic basil and coconut milk. Shrimp is surprisingly fresh for a place which doesn't focus on seafood.

  • Dozika

    Noodles, Asian, Thai, Sushi, Soup
I'm wondering if the other reviewer and I ate from the same place. The Nigiri sushi I got was of the it had been sitting out 2 or 3 days before they got around to serving it variety. The pieces were also small. Perhaps the other review is the sort of person who thinks rolls of fried stuff with mayo is sushi... Me I used to live in Japan, and I found this sushi to be bearly edible.

  • Lulu's Dim Sum and Then Some

Noodles, Asian, Chinese, Thai, Dim Sum
Not so much Asian as a asian fusian. Don't expect the food to taste like traditional anything because it won't. If you are used to traditional chinese dim sum like from Hong Kong, this is not like that. The palat is completely different. Its more like Tapas meets chinese food. Some of it is tasty, every once in a while you get nasty surprises -- I once while eating their salmon sashimi-- which is sliced like lox, got impaled by a very long salmon bone. Service? Getting hung up on is common, the resturant is often very busy.

  • Joy Yee's Noodles

    Noodles, Asian, Chinese
Very popular resturant with a huge menu. Their bubble drinks are actually really good, the food however is very oily, made with very cheap cuts of meat, etc. Its actually fairly authentic, if what you are comparing it to is really cheap mall food in Taiwan. Think : this is to chinese what MacD's is to a really good burger.

  • Little Wok Chinese & Sushi

Noodles, Asian, Japanese, Sushi, Seafood, Soup
What do you call a place with Sushi, Chinese, Thai and Korean food? Master of none. But if you aren't too hung up on the authenticity of a particular dish, this is a good choice. It gets 4 stars despite my ambivalence, because these guys deliver fast, are very nice on the phone and in person, and the place is suburban clean. The prices are fair and portions large. The problem is, they don't do anything that well. Oh, all is edible and of OK quality. But the dumplings were heavy and thick; the pad thai had a weirdly sweet, soupy sauce like none I've had; the Korean food was bland, even the so-called kimchee was not hot - a pale imitation of the authentic stuff. The Chinese is just a better-than-average Americanized type of slop. While the sushi is fresh, saucing of fancier rolls is amateurishly heavy-handed. The baked Malaysian rice is the only stand-out I've had so far. But if you are not told by everyone else how picky you are, you will probably like Little Wok.
