Sashimi Sashimi
Japanese, Asian, Sushi
I've lived in Japan, I know my sushi. This sushi is fairly tasty (its fresh, etc) but the pieces are so ridiculously small that two of theirs equals one of someone else's. In regards to sushi delivery in Evanston area they're the best in terms of freshness and taste, but ridiculously expensive in terms of prices and portion size. In terms of walk in (the guys I'm about to suggest do NOT deliver I'm afraid) the best sushi in Evanston is Sea Ranch on Dempster, which isn't even really a restaurant -- its a Japanese fish market with a little stall on the side that sells sushi.

Koi
Japanese, Asian, Chinese, Sushi
Yuppified Asian, and pricey -- but in the area of Chinese delivery above average (most of the good places in the area don't). Their Chinese is slightly modified to US tastes, but you CAN order your dishes with brown rice, which is so much healthier than white that I feel it gives them bonus points. Their Japanese isn't great, and is also overpriced..
They also have very tasty fruit smoothies which they claim are fruit and ice, no fillers.

Little Wok Chinese & Sushi
Japanese, Asian, Sushi, Seafood, Noodles, Soup
What do you call a place with Sushi, Chinese, Thai and Korean food? Master of none. But if you aren't too hung up on the authenticity of a particular dish, this is a good choice. It gets 4 stars despite my ambivalence, because these guys deliver fast, are very nice on the phone and in person, and the place is suburban clean. The prices are fair and portions large. The problem is, they don't do anything that well. Oh, all is edible and of OK quality. But the dumplings were heavy and thick; the pad thai had a weirdly sweet, soupy sauce like none I've had; the Korean food was bland, even the so-called kimchee was not hot - a pale imitation of the authentic stuff. The Chinese is just a better-than-average Americanized type of slop. While the sushi is fresh, saucing of fancier rolls is amateurishly heavy-handed. The baked Malaysian rice is the only stand-out I've had so far. But if you are not told by everyone else how picky you are, you will probably like Little Wok.
