    This little restaurant is probably the best kept secret in Oak Park. Every time I've eaten there, the food has been wonderful. They had pastries this morning that were to die for. The entrees are always creative and there is usually a great vegetarian option.

    I have ordered from Eastgate several times, and have always been impressed by the level of customer service. Tonight, he braved the busy traffic of Harlem ave. to bring the food to my door. Awesome! Plus, they've always accommodated all of my off-menu requests. If you're hungry for filling, yet healthy food, try them and see for yourself. Signed, Full and Smiling PS.     Highly recommended! I ordered from East Gate quite by accident the 1st time. No other place was open early Sunday & Eastgate had some healthy fresh items on their menu. I use grubhub.com at least 5 times a week and I'll say that Eastgate is one of the best places to order from. The main reason being Tom the owner is super courteous & pleasant to deal with. They always deliver fast (ie: last nite I ordered at 9:09pm, expected delivery was at 9:50pm, I got my food by 9:15pm) - not sure how they did that. Food is great. Favs include the mandarin orange salad, fresh fruit salad, even the veggie sandwich is great (and I'm a big meat eater). Would highly recommend because most other places do not have fast/courteous employees like Eastgate does. Oh, the maine lobster(?) soup is also great. Try them out for a good delivery experience. PS: I was told they have some great items that are not listed on the online menu (quiche & steak sandwich I've tried so far. )
