  • Gio's Cafe

Sandwiches, Italian, Pasta, Healthy, Salads, Chicken
I love everything about this place. The phone people are super friendly, the delivery is fast (half hour for rigatoni vodka/20oz squirt/bread/tiramisu), and the food is absolutely delish. Definitely, the best restaurant in bridgeport. Beats all competitors in every area.

  • De Rice Asian Cuisine

Asian, Chinese, Healthy, Japanese, Sushi, Vegetarian
    Order placed on 4.23.08.
While their delivery was speedy and polite, the food I had was rather disappointing. I ordered some of the sushi and their dragon roll literally made me throw up. I was so nauseated by the smell and taste that I had to throw the rest of my sushi away. It did not taste or smell fresh at all. I also ordered the orange peel chicken just because you have to order at least $20 (pre tax and delivery fee) for delivery. This was also disappointing, but I was able to eat it and keep it down despite my previous rejection of the sushi. The cantonese egg rolls were okay---although like most egg rolls available in Hyde Park, they had this nasty peanut like filling. So, I say avoid De Rice Asian. The prices are high. The food is sub par. And the sushi is vomit inducing. Isn't there one decent asian restaurant (other than thai) in Hyde Park??

  • Pizza Capri

Pizza, Sandwiches, Italian, Pasta, Healthy, Salads
My wife really loves Pizza Capri, especially their salad. So, we would order from this place with some frequency when we lived in Hyde Park. And...every time I ordered from it, I was disappointed. Everything seemed overpriced for the quality. Nothing bad, but nothing particularly good (i.e. worth $10+ for an entree). But, the wife really loves it. Plus, I have heard others rave about their "specialty" pizzas, which I never tried.

  • Leona's

Pizza, Sandwiches, Italian, American, Pasta, Healthy, Salads, Hamburgers
I'd disagree with the previous reviewer pretty strongly. I have had good experiences with the Leona's on 53rd after probably a dozen or so dining experiences. It was always timely. And it was what you'd expect from Leona's: lots of tasty stuff that helps you bust your diet. No complaints from me.

Worst food ever. Out of the 4 things we ordered, every single one was horrible. Food tasted like it was freezer burned. I could cook year old microwave dinners that taste better.

  • Bangkok Thai 55

    Asian, Thai
I only ordered here b/c the ratings show it to be 5 star. The food was by far the worst thai food I ever had. Here is why: 1. The food just taste bad. Didnt even taste like real thai food. 2. Their menu mention about how healthy their food was. But in reality, it was loaded with grease. It made it difficult to swallow. 3. They required you order a minimum of $25 and they charge $4 or $5 for delivery.

  • Chinese Royal Kitchen

    Asian, Chinese, Lunch Specials
The food was well priced but unfortunately you get what you pay for. The description did not match what was prepared, and the person who took the order wrote down the wrong address after calling 3 times to confirm. If you like Mongolian bell pepper with beef as a garnish or Kung Pao Celery with chicken as a garnish sprinkled with only 3 peanuts... this is the place for you! On a side note the crab ragoons were almost par and not bad if you are hungry and there is nothing else around. The fried rice was old and very dry. Not even worth the cheap price you pay.
