    Pretty good Indian food and arrived quickly but didn't receive one of the breads ordered so check your order before the driver leaves.

    Delivery time was quick, however I asked for extra spicy which it was not. It seemed like they just added extra red chili powder. the spice was not cooked into the curry. I would pass on ordering from here again.

    While eating at the restaurant is outstanding, delivery is horrible. After an hour and $35 we get this cold excuse for dinner and then have to spend another 20 minutes cooking rice, since it doesn't come with it. The person answering the phone had no knowledge of our order and subsequently wouldn't call the delivery driver to find out where he was. I can't think of another reason to deliver cold samosas unless you are not making them fresh. Sure it saves you a trip to Devon, but it's no better than heating up a package of Indian food from the grocery store.

    Really rather average food, and the portion sizes for the price were less than satisfactory. Delivery time was also a problem, as was the guy who delivered it not wanting to walk up 3 flights of stairs because he wasn't sure where the apartment was. Here's a hint: you know the door that's buzzing so that you can get through it? it's that one. You can make better Indian food at home in the same amount of time.

    Pros: Good food and generous portions, food arrived hot and well-packaged friendly drivers. Cons: No utensils included, drivers do not carry alot of change. Use exact change for orders.

    This place is amazing. Completely affordable Indian, for once, and they made everything extra spicy, as requested. Do not miss the paratha sandwiches. They're wonderful, and a great value.

    I wouldn't order from Essence again. The pieces of chicken in the chicken curries were huge...they should have been smaller. Even after asking for extra spicy, the items were bland.

    When I ordered at 8:30, my food had an approximate delivery time of 9:20. At 9:50, I called to see where it was and was told it would be there in ten minutes. At 10:30 when I had given up and was going through the cupboards to find something else, the food finally showed up. When I sat down to eat, the food was COLD. Not just lukewarm, cold. 0 stars.

    Fast, friendly delivery. Extremely salty food. Lentil soup was nothing but broth. I'll try another Indian place next time.

    There is a $35 minimum order for delivery. Food's pretty good, but it has a more home-made quality than restaurant quality. I got a veg tikka masala and it was nothing like tikka masala usually is. At first I was disappointed, but the dish was actually good - just not what I'd wanted. I'd have given this place 3 stars but the delivery service was bad. Delivery is free but you get what you pay for: it took an hour and a half even though the woman on the phone said it'd be 30 minutes. Tepid food that I could've made myself (if I expanded my spice rack) is not very inspiring, and they forgot my naan. I won't be ordering from here again, but I may stop in if I'm up on Devon.
