Order placed on 4.13.08.They have a motto-the Pizza you cant refuse.Well, I refuse to order from there again.As for the people that say this place is good, they must work there,own part of it,or are having their friends give positive reviews because this place SUCKS. It takes alot for me to write a negative review. But this place hit the big suck on almost every count. The only good thing was it took them 45 minutes to deliver. I have been reading the reviews for months and was very afraid to order from this place-then I saw a string of "good" reviews. I still had a bad feeling before I ordered and it turned out the feeling was right. Pizza: Tasteless toppings. Sauce had a fish taste to it! Do they use the same utensils to make pizza and fish?!!! Crust was brittle like the dough mix was old or something. Cheese was not fresh at all. I still have heartburn from this crap almost 24 hours after I ate it! I will NEVER order from here again and I suggest you do not either.

My husband and I decided to try Pompei after a previous expensive order from Leona's did us in. The food was great--he had the Pompei Pizza Strudel and said it was great (and it was huge); I had a slice of the chicken parmigiana strudel upon someone else's GrubHub recommendation. Mine was great as well. We also ordered a cheesy garlic bread to get the coupon ($20 order --> free 2 liter of Coke)-our only wish was that the garlic bread had marinara with it. The price was reasonable for what we got. We'll call Pompei again for late night orders.

Order placed on 11.21.09.I had 20 of the tang-z-q wings. Are the wings on the small side? Yes. Are they nonetheless good? Yes. I hate wings that lack any sort of crunch to them, and these definitely did not lack that. Delivery was good, but this was in late November. Things might be different during Cubs season. Speaking of which, is anyone really expecting great service on a gameday? That's like complaining that there's too big of crowds at retail stores on Black Friday. You go to a Wrigleyville bar when the Cubs are in town, you deal with a packed house and divided attention from your server.

Order placed on 10.19.08.The good:The cheese was very fresh.The crust was soft in a good way. Pizza was cooked perfectly. Friendly delivery driver. Chicken fingers arrived hot;you get a good portion for the price. The bad ( I am willing to give this place another chance or two however because of the good): Not very much sauce. Sausage did not have much taste. Pizza was lukewarm when it arrived-however I live in the outer portion of their delivery area and ordered very late.
